He advises Canadian businesses on their overseas ventures, particularly in West Africa, and supports European and African companies in their operations in Canada. He also has solid experience in international arbitration, including proceedings conducted under the rules of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

Building on extensive experience and frequent business travel in Africa since 2004, Pierre assists organizations across a wide range of industries with their projects, particularly with respect to local establishment, negotiation of contractual agreements, infrastructure construction, and real estate and institutional development.

  • Professional activities

    Over the course of his career, Pierre has worked on a wide range of mandates involving municipal assessment litigation for tax purposes, expropriation matters, municipal civil liability claims, as well as residential and commercial development projects and other civil matters. He has acted as a speaker and instructor on municipal taxation and expropriation, delivering presentations to teams of experts and real estate brokers (CPTA, OACIQ).

    He also provides strategic advisory services for the development of real estate, environmental and mining projects, particularly in West and Central Africa.

    Pierre has advised boards of directors as an independent consultant, notably on the development of a digital city in Cameroon.

    He has also taught the fundamentals of international arbitration to African lawyers at CIFAF in Benin over a period of four (4) years.

    In addition, Pierre has supported businesses in various projects in West Africa, including renewable energy housing construction projects in Nigeria, Benin and Senegal; construction projects in the education sector in Côte d’Ivoire; electrical infrastructure and power plant projects in Guinea; as well as water decontamination and market-garden irrigation projects in Benin.

    As a member of Lawyers Associated Worldwide (LAW), a global network of independent law firms, Pierre is actively involved in the organization’s international events and annual conferences, where he regularly participates as a speaker. He also served on the network’s executive committee for seven (7) years.
