A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Business Valuator (CBV), Hugo is part of the Corporate Finance team. He works closely with the Business Law team, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions. Based at our Saint-Hyacinthe office, Hugo works with major clients throughout the province.
Hugo assists clients with the various financial and accounting aspects surrounding the sale, acquisition or financing of a business. Having worked for an international CPA firm in the consulting and auditing departments, Hugo brings his professional experience to bear on the various mandates of the Corporate Finance team.
Hugo’s training as a CPA and CBV is a key asset within a law firm, enabling him to combine his expertise in financial matters with his understanding of business law for the benefit of clients. This unique combination empowers him to offer strategic and holistic solutions that maximize value creation for his clients. With a rigorous, collaborative and results-oriented approach, Hugo is an essential asset in guiding businesses through every stage of their sale, acquisition and financing projects.

Professional activities
Hugo assisted his clients in a number of major projects, including:
- by working with the corporate finance team to manage the sale of shares in Immeubles E. Tassé Inc., including valuation, marketing, due diligence support and negotiating the letter of intent and final transaction;
- by assessing the business value and determining transactional financial parameters as part of business acquisition and sale mandates;
- by providing comprehensive support for the sale of businesses, from the preparation of financial and operational information to the identification of potential buyers and the negotiation of contractual agreements;
- by developing financial projections and business plans in order to secure financing.
