A lawyer based in Laval, Laura is part of the business law team, where she specializes in securities law. She advises both reporting and non-reporting issuers on strategic transactions, financing initiatives and compliance with the regulatory requirements governing capital markets, particularly in complex and evolving legal environments.
Before joining the firm, Laura gained experience with a mining company listed on both the TSX and Nasdaq, giving her practical insight into the challenges faced by public companies.
Throughout her academic career, Laura distinguished herself through the rigour of her research and the quality of her analysis in securities law. In particular, she presented research on the regulatory framework for cryptoassets in Quebec, proposing solutions based on a comparative analysis of approaches adopted in other jurisdictions. This work earned her the People’s Choice Award at the LABFI student conference, “Enjeux contemporains en droit des services financiers”.
She has also demonstrated strong advocacy skills, winning the third edition of the Denis Lemieux Moot Court Competition, Appeal Hearing, reflecting her ease in the courtroom and her ability to develop clear, structured and persuasive legal arguments.
Laura is known for her analytical rigour, attention to detail and ability to navigate complex regulatory environments with confidence.
