A lawyer in Sherbrooke, Marike practises primarily in civil and commercial litigation, as well as construction law, with a particular focus on contractual disputes. She joined the Therrien Couture Joli-Cœur team as a lawyer following her articling with the firm.
Curious by nature, Marike enjoys being involved in a variety of projects. During her university studies, she volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada (PBSC) and the Legal Information Office of Université Laval, and served as a student clinician with the Clinique de droit international, pénal et humanitaire. These various engagements enabled her to develop strong work techniques, sharpen her critical thinking and enhance her emergency management skills.
Marike is appreciated for her simplicity, determination, listening skills and dedication.

Guided by the ideal of a world in which everyone’s rights are fully respected and upheld, she seeks, through her professional practice, to gain a deeper understanding of the issues surrounding access to justice for all. She firmly believes in the importance of social solidarity and sees the practice of law as a means of driving change and helping advance societal issues.
During her university studies, Marike volunteered and worked as a student clinician with the Clinique juridique itinérante (CJI), whose primary mission is to promote access to justice for underprivileged, homeless and/or marginalized people.
She also sits on the Board of Directors of the Centre communautaire juridique de l’Estrie since January 2025.
